New child safety seat program announced, Illinois

Submitted by by Gina on

The Illinois State Police District 16 and State Farm are working together on a new program designed to improve child passenger safety on area roadways.

Over the next few months, State Farm insurance agents throughout the region will host child seat safety checks at their offices. As part of these events, District 16 safety technicians will be on hand to inspect child seats in vehicles and make sure they are correctly installed and being used properly.

The checks are free and open to the public, and you do not need to be a State Farm customer to participate.
