New research from the University of Michigan reveals most parents don’t use age appropriate car seat restraints. The study also says that many caregivers still place children in the front seat. Kids are required to stay in the back seat facing backwards until age 2 and are not supposed to ride in the front seat until age 13. The research found that many children stop sitting backwards before turning one and often ride in the front seat as early as 7 years old.
